Children have an innate connection to nature; we seek to nurture a lifelong reverence and relationship to the natural world.  In our unique program, students in Grades 1-5 spend one day a week in our “nature classroom” and playground at Sacred Mountain Sanctuary, a setting of 90+ mountain acres in Candler NC.

In the Nature Immersion Program, students:

• Learn gardening, farming, environmental awareness and wilderness skills
• Observe plant and animal life cycles
• Create structures from natural materials
• Run, play, and explore streams, trees, fields, and mountains
• Build strong bodies and natural wisdom
