Ashley Masters – Lead Teacher

Azalea Mountain welcomes the addition of Ashley Masters to our kindergarten classroom.

Ashley Masters joins us with a diverse background in education. She has taught K-12 Art in public schools, directed early childhood and school age programs and, for the last eight years, has focused her studies and work on Waldorf early childhood education.  In Pagosa Springs, Colorado, Ashley was an early childhood teacher and a founding member of the Pagosa Waldorf Initiative which opened the Treasure Mountain Cooperative in 2006.  She then taught at the Santa Fe Waldorf School before relocating back to the Carolinas.

Ashley has her LifeWays Early Childhood Certification – a Steiner based course of study for those who work with young children and their families.  She also completed the Center of Anthroposophy’s Foundation Studies program and is the coordinator for our local Anthroposophic Kinder Study Group.  As a teacher and a mother of two young boys, Ashley is excited to learn, play and grow with the kindergarten children and families.
