The founder of Waldorf Education, Rudolf Steiner, emphasized the importance of viewing school tuition not as a transaction to purchase a commodity, but as a contribution to provide a stable environment in which true learning can take place. We contribute to the co-creation of our school in many ways — program fees, fundraising contributions, volunteer support, and through spreading the word about our programs.

We are committed to supporting all families who desire to bring Waldorf education to their children. Additionally, we seek to cultivate a socioeconomically diverse community. Financial Aid is offered according to demonstrated financial need and the limitations of our overall budget. Our school strives to offer a meaningful level of assistance to every family that demonstrates a genuine need. Financial assistance is considered separately from the admissions process and after a student has been accepted to the program.
Any family who chooses to do so can apply for financial aid through our on line admissions and enrollment service: TADS. We have chosen this assessment service for its proven track record for fairness in evaluating family’s ability to contribute to education. Each family will pay “the most they are able to contribute,” which will be confidentially calculated by TADS and discussed with the family by a confidential representative of Azalea Mountain School.
2012-13 Financial aid is available for 5 day kindergarten and grades.
